The commercial Units form assumes that you are renting space on a per-square-foot (or square meter, or whatever other units you choose) basis. Aside from the information necessary to link the unit into the system in a useful fashion, it only wants to know the size of the unit. This "unit" can occupy multiple floors, or even multiple physical buildings, and the size is used in CAM computations. You may change the size whenever you choose, and you may add units or delete them as necessary to accommodate your needs.
Of course, you may clone unit features, or add your own features, or perform free format text entry.
In the Corporate Edition and higher, the appearance changes to match the property type; the form shown is a commercial unit form, and here is the residential unit form.
